Recovery Mode

Recovery mode uses Jostle Tracking to start and stop trips, using the device’s accelerometer to detect movement.

Recovery Mode is a one-touch feature available on our cellular GPS devices. When activated, Recovery Mode switches the device to “real-time” tracking; location is reported every 30 seconds to assist in asset recovery in the case of loss, theft, or unauthorized usage.

Recovery Mode Application

There are four different ways a device can enter Recovery Mode:

1)From Telematics Guru on Desktop – Our GPS tracking platform
2)From the Telematics Guru Mobile App
3)From OEM Server – Our Device Management Platform
4)From a Third Party Server

Recovery mode uses Jostle Tracking to start and stop trips, using the device’s accelerometer to detect movement. Device behaviors in Recovery Mode are also configurable. Learn more about setting up and activating Recovery Mode in our knowledge base.
